Når NAV starter en ny klient hver gang man kører et object fra development

Quickfix: Kør en commandoprompt som administrator ug udfør følgende fix ved at kopiere linjen og paste den ind og trykke enter.

C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319\RegAsm.exe /register “C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Dynamics NAV\90\RoleTailored Client\Microsoft.Dynamics.Nav.Client.WinForms.dll” /tlb

“Database”-brugere og IOS og GOOGLE devices:

Hvis man vil kunne logge på en server ved hjælp af en Android eller Apple-enhed som jo ikke har AD (Active Directory) så er man nødt til at lave et certifikat og lave Interne NAV brugere. Dette kan man gøre på denne måde:

Start a Command Prompt (CMD.EXE) as Administrator
Type CD \
Type ATTRIB MAKECERT.EXE /S
If file is missing then google for Windows SDK for WIndows x.x (operating system dependant)
Install only Windows App Certification kit

Test with
Type ATTRIB MAKECERT.EXE /S
Make new folder C:\Certificate
Copy Makecert.exe to this folder

makecert -n CN=RootNavServiceCA -r -sv RootNavServiceCA.pvk RootNavServiceCA.cer
makecert -crl -n CN=RootNavServiceCA -r -sv RootNavServiceCA.pvk RootNavServiceCA.crl

Start MMC.EXE – Add Snapin – Certificates.

Choose Trusted Root Certificates and import using More Actions, All Tasks, Import. Import the *.cer and *.crl files.

Press F5 to refresh and verify that they have been installed.Then do:

makecert -sk NavServiceCert -iv RootNavServiceCA.pvk -n “CN=NavServiceCert” -ic RootNavServiceCA.cer -sr localmachine -ss my -sky exchange -pe NavServiceCert.cer

Install the NAVserviceCert into Personal, Certificates.

In Details on the NavServiceCert copy the Thumbprint to Notepad (Sometimes it copies hidden characters at the beginning and at the end – so type the first/last character manually).

Remember to click on the NavServiceCert-citificate and to the right (below) click on More Actions,  All Tasks, Manage Private Keys and:

Add NETWORK Service user as an administrator
Add NAVSERVER user (local account as administrator).

Now Run the NAV 2015 Administration

Create a new service
Paste the Thumbprint from above into Thumbprint.
Change the Client services to NavUserPassword

In Services.msc – change the account to NAV2015\Admin or the new NAVSERVER-user (Remember that the new user must be an db-owner of the database in order to get it to work).

Start the ServiceTier and verify that it works.
Run the client and connect to the new servicetier and see an error with connection mismatch.

Client Setup

First we need to go to command prompt to find the NAV client setup file
ATTRIB Client*.config /s

C:\Users\Admin\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Microsoft Dynamics NAV\80\ClientUserSettings.Config

Modify the config-file
<add key=”ClientServicesPort” value=”7×46″ />
<add key=”ServerInstance” value=”DATABASE” />
<add key=”ClientServicesCredentialType” value=”NavUserPassword” />
<add key=”DnsIdentity” value=”NavServiceCert” />

(Remember UpperCase in the value-fields )

Create a Webserver that can connect to this new database-tier

Start Administration SHELL and run:
New-NAVWebServerInstance
SERVER: NAV2015
Serverinstance: NAV2015 (type whatever you want – must edit afterwards manually anyway).
WebServerInstance: DATABASE

EDIT the config-file in

C:\inetpub\wwwroot\DATABASE\web.config (must be saved on Desktop and moved to folder afterwards). Change

<add key=”Company” value=”CRONUS Danmark AS” />
<add key=”Language” value=”da-DK” />
<add key=”RegionFormat” value=”da-DK” />

<add key=”Server” value=”NAV2015″ />
<add key=”ServerInstance” value=”DATABASE” />

<add key=”ClientServicesCredentialType” value=”NavUserPassword” />
<add key=”ClientServicesPort” value=”7×46″ />
<add key=”DnsIdentity” value=”NavServiceCert” />

Save the web.config file on your DESKTOP! and copy it to the IIS-folder afterwards.

Wait 10 seconds and then it works
